How to Act With Dramatic Using Your Imagination

Strand:Creative exploration and expression

Students will:

Read a dialogue from the script loudly and clearly
Portray a character in a given situation.

Questions

What do you need to know before you read the script?
Is there any parts that you didn’t understand? Why?
Do you like a character you have to play?

Sample Activities

  • Each student should choose one character they like from the script “heart attack” and try to read it one by one.
  • When they ready with their script,  they present it in front of class.

Sample Assessments
Able to act in front of class without being shy.
Read a dialogue clearly and fluently.

Strand:Performance

 Students will:

explore movement and use of the bodyportray a character in a given situation.



Questions

what can you do with your body?
How could you present your character?
Which parts of your body will you use?
Can you use your imagination in this session?

Sample Activities

Teacher asked the students to find their partner to play a photographer games:
One child is the photographer and the other a model. The photographer prepares the model, positioning arms, legs, etc. the model freezes in position, then photograph is taken.
Cooperation is needed in this game.

 Sample Assessments

able to act in front of class without being shy.
able to work cooperatively with their partner

Strand:Creative exploration and expression

Students will:

Be able to improvise through dramatic action with a partner.
portray a character in a given situation.

Questions

Can you work cooperatively with others?
Can you follow your partner ?
How does your character move?
How to make a shadow walk?
How does this character behave?
Can you make any suggestion to help your partner?

Sample Activities

Students play a mirror game in pairs.
(One of them to be a mirror and the other to be a people.)
A and B standing facing each other, about a raised arm’s distance a part A is standing in front of a mirror B: B is his reflection in the mirror, whatever movement A makes B makes at the same time. They try to make same movement in same time.
